EvaEZ™FluorometricPolymeraseActivityAssayKitprovidesaneasyandaccuratewaytodeterminetheactivityofanucleicacidpolymerasewithoutusingradioisotopes.ItcontainsEvaGreen®dyetogetherwithaprimedtemplate,dNTPs,andMgCl2inaTrisbuffersystem.InthepresenceofDNApolymeraseactivity,theprimerwillbeextendedtoformadoublestrandedproductthatcanbindEvaGreendye,resultinginanincreaseoffluorescence.Therateofincreaseoffluorescenceispositivelycorrelatedtotheactivityofpolymerase.TheassaywasdevelopedforthemeasurementofTaqDNApolymeraseactivity.ItcanalsobeusedforotherDNApolymerasessuchasPfu,Vent,Phusion®,Bst,Phi29,MMLV,AMV,SuperScript®,T4DNApolymerase,T7DNApolymerase,Klenow,andE.coliDNApolymeraseI.Theactivityassaycanbeconductedattemperaturesfrom4°Cto75°C.
