CalcofluorWhiteisafluorescentbluedyethatbindstocelluloseandchitin,whichcanbefoundinthecellwallsoffungi,algae,andplants.
Afterstainingyeastwiththiskit,bothlivinganddeadcellswillbeoutlinedinblue,whileonlylivingcellswillshowredfluorescent,vacuolartubules.
